I know with the rising costs these days, it may be difficult to justify investing in counselling, especially believing we are worth that investment.  However, neglecting our health, particularly our mental health, can come at a higher price over time. When we invest in ourselves, we can see the returns not only in our personal journey, but in all levels of our various relationships, our professional endeavours, our physical and sexual health and even in our financial health and security. 

I offer a free, 20 minute meet and greet consultation phone or video call to help in your decision of choosing a counsellor who feels right for you. Choosing someone you feel comfortable sharing and talking with is an important step and will help you get the most benefit out of your counselling experience.  In this meeting, you have the opportunity to discuss your therapeutic goals and ask questions regarding how your sessions may look when working with Nurture Me Counselling and how I work as a counsellor. It will also give me the opportunity to see if I am the right counsellor to help you on your journey as well, because it is important to me that your counselling experience has the best chance at being a positive and successful one. **Please note: No counselling is conducted during this meet and greet call.** 

While the industry standard has moved to 50 minute sessions, I have chosen to stay working under the traditional 60 or 90 minute sessions.  I find this extra bit of time allows for a more relaxed and complete experience for your sessions, while we are working together in navigating your journey and discoveries. 

60 minutes - $115 CAD

90 minutes - $170 CAD

60 minutes - $135 CAD

90 minutes - $200 CAD

A credit card on file is required to book a full session. When booking your first full session, you will be asked to fill out an intake form along with your credit card information (not required for the free meet and greet call). Your card will be charged after the session or in the event of a short notice cancellation or no show. 

I offer a limited number of reduced rate sessions for clients who qualify, based on their annual income level. Please inquire for more information. 

I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to see if and what types of mental health services you may be covered for, before your first session. Each insurance provider and plan is different, so it is best to confirm what your specific plan covers for mental health benefits. While I do not offer direct billing to insurance companies, I do, however, provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider, should they provide coverage.  The following providers generally do cover Registered Therapeutic Counsellors (RTC), but please confirm with your specific provider and plan to avoid any surprises.
